Wal-Mart has a HP 6733 for $648. Even if the Phenom is only dual core it should be more than enough for WOW and down the road I can throw in a quad or even a 6 core processor plus a decent video card. The kicker is the 23" monitor! I mean, come on, does anyone know what would even be comparable? Again, it's only for WOW, so tell me, am i crazy?
Plus, this would def be an upgrade from what I am trying to play now, please see my profile, lol.

Solution
That's a $220 monitor so you are paying a little over 400 bucks for the tower. Looking at the specs of that tower it can't be much more than 200 bucks in parts. It only has a 250W power supply meaning you can't toss in a decent graphics card. Don;t let the "Phenom" name trick you that is a Athlon in disguise. It has no L3 cache: http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/K10/AMD-Phenom%20II%20X2%20511%20-%20HDX511OCK23GM.html

You can do much better spending 400 bucks on a custom built tower and buying the monitor separate.

If it is all you can afford and it is an improvement on your current situation then you should look at it. Otherwise if you can afford better then don't touch it. Build up a clone and get better quality for your dollar. That machine is seriously under powered. If you can afford to upgrade it later then wait until you can combine that money with the money you are looking at spending now and do the job properly. You would be better off buying a second hand i5 or similar.

Wow good catch on the L3 cache, didn't see that. Your right, in order to upgrade I would have to change out the PS. Dangit, if only there was a way to buy a pre-made comp with a 23 inch monitor on the cheap. I mean , it's just WOW, lol. I don't need anything high end ya know? Lemme surf some of the sites, anyone have any leads they can point me in the right direction? Again, thank you all!

I think you could easily build a better tower for $500 and then spend $150 or so on a 23'' monitor, sometimes cheaper than that when they have mail in rebates. Newegg always has some good deals on that range size of monitors.

plus when you buy that hp you'll have to get a mid range gpu and a new psu cause theres no way that 250w psu is running any kind of dedicated graphics. so that'll increase you'r price $150 at the lowest.

so you'd be looking at $650 + 150 -> 800ish.

for that much you can build a good tower with a 955be quad core, a good gpu, and still have your 23'' monitor.

Wow, tried tigerdirect, cyberpower pc, and surfed newegg, what the heck is going on? Why does everyone say that you can build one cheaper? I am trying to find a AM3 system with with at least 3 Ghz, 4Gbs ram, 750G HD, 1Gb vid-nothing special right? Yeah right! Show me where you can get all this with at least a 22inch montor for under $650. I give up, I am just going to wait it out a little more, this is too frustrating, take a break ya know?

Check out my siggy for the 450$ build. Swap the 4830/5670 for a 450 GTS and you'll have a total of 500$. Add 150$ for the monitor I guarrentee you it'll be way better than that HP computer.

You also, not to sound like a douche, should to more research. Clock rate isn't everything and RAM amount isn't everything to a video card. I guarantee you that the video card they gave you is a piece of crap. Give me the exact specs and I can point out all the flaws of that comp.

$621 Shipped. A real phenom II x2, 1TB hdd 4 gb ram 400w PSU and a HD 5770 - (real gaming graphics card) plus a 22 inch monitor. That POS from walmart had onboard graphics.

Azshinobi's i3-2100 build would be better tho.

I'm confused at what your trying to get at fms...

Your just biased as AMD doesn't have driver problems, those are just lies.
ram, I have no clue what your trying to say.
HDD. Samsung F3 1TB is better, plain and simple. Your just basing your parts of brand bias.

Is it possible to keep the case I have and just upgrade the motherboard, ram, psu, cpu, gpu and reuse the existing hard drive and add the other HD from my other comp (gateway 504R 200 GB HD for a total of 350 BG SATA?) I keep seeing MB/CPU combos for sale as well.
