This is my first attempt at building a pc from scratch myself (noob) It will be mainly used in order of importance, gaming, hd movies & music and web surfing. Components not needed are mouse, keyboard, monitor (using LED TV 200 Hz) and optical drive. This is what I came up with any comments good or bad welcomed!

Intel CPU Core i5 2500K, 3.30GHz, 6MB Cache, LGA1155
Asus P8P67-PRO v3 Intel Mainboard (B3 Stepping)
Gigabyte nVidia GTX570 1GB, DVI X2, Mini HDMI,1280M OC
Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB 7200RPM 64MB SATA3
Corsair DDR3 8GB (2x Vengeance 4GB) 1600MHz Timing: 9-9-9-24 CL9
Cooler Master Sniper SGC-6000 - Black Edition ATX Tower Case
Corsair HX-650 ATX Modular Power Supply
Microsoft Windows 7 Professional 64-Bit

Im gonna get an ssd further down the track as i could not get in my budget which i was aiming for $1500 AUD (wish i could order of newegg)
I had a real hard time decideding which gfx card to get between the gtx 570 and hd 6970 but went with the 570 (not looking at SLI)

This is my first post so any help or comments would be greatly appreciated!
Cheers

I think the HX650 is a very old design. Not what I would recommend at that range. Not a bad PSU at all, but not a first choice.

At MSY the Antec TP-750 is the same price, how about that?

Also the TP-650 if you can find it.

There it is

Umart has both of those too

This Seasonic would be great for you as well
