I7 Computer will not on

After salvaging what was left of my friend's Acer Aspire M7720 which had an i7 920 and an unknown X58 motherboard.Connected everything together including the front panel connectors.It didnt on and we tried taking all ram sticks.Doesnt work.Motherboard LED is on.Im thinking that the CPU is faulty?Or maybe its just i put the front panel connector wrongly?

Hmm Cpu fan does not kick in.Have tried the one stick trick and also the slot furthest from the cpu trick.Doesnt work.Hmm the PSU is a Vios 500w one.I used a 4pin to 8pin extension for the PSU.GPU is a GT230 and the pc is connected via VGA.Not sure about ram.Pretty sure its DDR3 2GB Ram X3

Theres no switch on PSU.RAM im not sure.Its the one from an Aspire M7720.Will try reseating the CPU when i go to my friends house again.But isnt the lights on my Mobo on?

:/  as in there is literally no switch on it.Weird but true.See the problem with the RAM thing is that i dont have a desktop that can accept DDR3.So i cant find out.The ram apparently says that its gddr3 which i doubt so so i guess its ddr3-1333 2gb 128mx8 1.5v ep. Generic Ram made in Taiwan
