I was wondering where I look to figure out if my motherboard is compatible with SSDs and which SSD's it's compatible with.

my motherboard is: GIGABYTE GA-MA770T-UD3 AM3 AMD 770 ATX AMD Motherboard
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

under product details - storage it says: Pata, Sata 3gb/s, and Sata Raid 0/1/0+1

Would it work with a e.g. Samsung 830 Series 2.5" SATA III SSD?

Or just in general SSDs

Thank you

Any ssd is compatible with a mobo, you just have to connect it with SATA and it will recognize it.

Your motherboard isn't SATA III compatible but it will run the SSD SATA drive. You just won't see the performance of SATA III on the SSD.
