Hello,
i plan on buying an LCD monitor with a res of 1920*1080 most likely --ViewSonic’s VX2739WM 27-Inch 1920x1080 Full HD Monitor. could someone please tell me which graphic card i should purchase to play games like crysis at max settings?
i have identified the GeForce GTX 460 Video Card - 1GB as a possible buy? will this suffice or are there better options with a budget of 200-250$

thank you..

i am not very particular about the budget..if there is a card out there a bit costlier but provides as good a performance i am willing to put more money into my gpu.In the future i will probably buy another card (motherboard is sli ready).does the fps make a large difference in gaming experience? (for fps>35)

In my opinion, once you hit 30-35 FPS as long as your framerate is steady it doesn't matter.

Some people like to have 60 constant FPS, but honestly you can't tell the difference if it is reasonably high and steady.

This is all null if you are using V-Sync, or need 3-D and what not, but thats a different discussion.

I could suggest you video cards all day, but honestly we need to know the rest of your system to make a more educated suggestion. What is your cpu, and psu?

Well the GTX 560 would compliment that system nicely and is in the budget you listed above.
