Phenom x3 8650 for editing avchd??

Hello,im currently without any money and in a third world country at the edge of collapse but i could purchase a beautiful canon t2i disregard the "end of the world as we know it". i have a phenom x3 8650 with 2 ddr2s 500 gb each and a nvidia 9600. Can i edit my avchd videos with this equipment?

You could, but that CPU is a bit slow by todays standards so don't expect it to be fast ^_^. The most CPU intensive task will of course be video compression into different formats.

Tell us more about your system and maybe I can help you overclock that cpu a bit. You can encode your videos but video encoding has always been a slow process. I has a 8250e (65w tri core) that I got to 2.7ghz.
