Building a system for a friend. I've built PC's before, (last was Nehalem), but not a SB.
Goal is great performance (see apps below).

Purchase date: This week

Budget: Up to $1000. $700-800 would be nice.

Usage: Most important: photoshop pwr user, Lightroom, office apps, fast user experience (fast boot, qwik loads, etc), no games

Not required: Monitor, speakers, keyboard, mouse

Website for parts: Newegg

Country: USA

Parts preferences: Intel SB. No MB pref. Want an SSD for boot; probably 120G. Thinking 8G or more of DDR. 1 or 2 TB drive; no RAID. No graphics pref. Cheapo DVD writer OK. Any case, any PS.

Overclock: Maybe, not essential

SLI/Crossfire: No

Monitor: Got one.

Comments: Already have a copy of Win 7 64. This is a replacement for a 5 year old machine. Need to blow away owner with snappy perf.
