Hello everyone Im planning to build a pc and I have a $1300 USD budget for EVERYTHING but I already have a copy of windows 7 and my headphones, would highly appreciate any help. I can buy from newegg and amazon.
Also I want to be able to add another card in sli in the future.
Thanks in advance.

Here is the build I have in mind so far:

Case: Fractal design define R3

CPU: I5 2500k

Mobo: Asus P8P67 Pro or asrock extreme4?

GPU: MSI twin frozr gtx 560 ti or radeon 6950 2gb (unlock?)
or save up a little more for the gtx 570 (worth it?)

PSU: Not sure maybe this one? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

HDD: Samsung spinpoint F3 1tb seems to be the obvious choice

Ram: 8gb, maybe this one? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... or get 4gb instead and use it towards a better gpu.

Optical drive: Any $20 drive

CPU cooler: Hyper 212, will overclock slightly after a year or so, will this cooler fit in my case?

Monitor: 24 inch 1920*1080 monitor, maybe this one:
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/ite...

Mouse: Logitech mx518 or G500 (not a big fan of razer)

Keyboard: Any $20ish keyboard

Any recommendation would be highly appreciated.

Looks like a solid build. Your hyper 212 will fit in your case just fine.

8gigs ram is more future proof 1600 cas9 or 8 is generally want you want like http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... or http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168....

With a 1920 x 1080 monitor all of your gpus will be great choices you can even go with 6950 1gb and not have issues. Corsair is a great psu, if you plan on sli/cf you'd want 750w and if you don't plan on it then you'd only need 550w.

You can do better than that:

I'm $89 over w/ room for 2nd card in SLI, huge case, 10.0 rated PSU (requires compatible Antec Case)and factory OC's 560 Ti that runs just a frame or 2 below the 570.

ASrock Extreme4 Mobo

Scythe Mugen 2 Cooler (Cheaper than the others and you can overclock to 4.4 GHz or 4.6 GHz with good temps.

8GB GSkill Ripjaws 1600 MHz RAM

Gigabyte Geforce GTX 560 Ti Clocked at 900 MHz Outperforms the 6950, better price too:

vs.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Case: In Win Track (lots of fans runs quiet and well) only $90 for lots and lots of stuff in it. Though the case u want looks pretty interesting.

That is a nice PSU there, Jack. Also a combo on it with the HD204UI spinpoint f4. I run a few of those drives in raid myself. Quite pleased.

If he would like a case similar to the one he's picked that that PSU will fit into though, he would probably want to go with this:

You are my hero, lol, but that's way over my budget, may change the keyboard for a cheap one to save some money and also I know this is a dumb question but how do mail in rebates work, do they give you cash? How do I redeem them? Are they reliable?

You have follow their rebate process. Takes anywhere from 6-12 weeks. They give you credit cards now that are kind of a pain to use if you don't use it all in one purchase since they won't show you the remaining balance.

then rebates are a big no for me. I can pay up to $1300 before taxes/shipping.

Thanks for your reply but Idk if I should go with JackNaylorPE build instead? And im also curious about buying the fractal design define r3 case, also wich aftermarket cooler should I buy that will fit in the fractal define r3 and do I need to apply a thermal compound to it and how?

honestly, the best performing 560 ti for the price is the 900 MHz gigabyte 560 ti. i would get that one.

however:

this combo:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboBundleDetails.aspx?I...
this combo:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?Ite...
2 of these to go with the combo (run raid 5 on 3 or raid 0 on 2):
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
optical drive:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
gpu:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
ram:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

add whatever cpu cooler you like, that's a BOMB computer for under 1300. and in all honesty, the difference in the 1.5 seagates and 1tb spinpoints is only about 15 MB/s. and you get 2-3 of them this way and run them in raid.

For thermal paste get some Noctua NT-H1. The hyper 212+ is a amazing cooler, and if you wish to put another fan on it you can easily do so.
