I have a generic desktop computer connected to the net via dsl and also a laptop connected through a wireless router hooked up to the desktop modem. I have been given a Dell gx280 desktop and had to do a clean installation of the XP Pro OS to get it working. What would be the best way to hook this third computer to the internet. The modem is a 'speedstream' and the router is a 'netgear'. In anticipation of your help. My thanks.

If the Dell has a wireless card (usually indicated by an antenna on the rear panel) set that up to work with the router. If it only has a network socket, run an ethernet cable from it to one of the network sockets on the router. Or add a wireless adapter.
