Mobo wont turn on

Hello,
I am currently fixing a friends pc who took the ground pin out of the power cable. After that he pluged it in and the system just died. I have replaced his PSU and even checked it out side of his rig and it works fine. The Mobo wont turn over at all, no beeping, no lights, nothing. I'm wondering if it's possible he fried the mobo? Is there any way to test it, considering nothing at all fires up on it, its an MSI MS-7222

I think it's a safe bet he fried the Mobo. I had a PSU take one out.

The only thing I can think that you could try before tossing it out would be the CMOS reset jumper/switch. If that doesn't give you anything then I would bet it is dead.

Buy another power cable, I think all PSU power cable are standard(the same).

Remember that PC motherboard needs some grounding.
