ATI or Nvidia

Hello,I am doing 3D Animation Course
and currently working on software like Autodesk Maya and 3D Max. My system configuration is Amd Phenom 9650 processor, Asus M3A78-EM with 4 gb RAM. I am looking for a good graphic card that can help me in rendering fluids and particles faster in Maya. Should i go for ATI or Nvidia? My budget is around 100-110$.

You want Nvidia for that kind of work. That is probably the best Nvidia card for that price.
