Is i3 enough for gaming

i cannot come to a conclusion which to buy i3 or i5 if i had to buy i5 i can buy a ati 6770 card if a jump to i3 i can buy gtx 460 or ati 6850 so is i3 enough for gaming will i3 will unleash the full performance of the graphic card above

Depends on what games you play. If I was in your place I would save up a little more for the i5 and 460/6850

A sandybridge i3 is fine, by far the most limiting factor is the graphics card once you are talking about the iseries of processors, now if you were getting a 580, or rad 6970 i would push for an i5 just in case but put the money towards graphics and you will see the biggest benifit.

The i3 will be plenty for your 6850 with out any kind of a bottlekneck, in fact its enough to not bottlekneck even a gtx570/6970, depending on what resolutions your playing at.

I agree get the i3 2100 and better graphics you only really need the i5 if your running 2 cards.
