HDMI Weird Audio?

Hi guys.. my power supply finally came today, and I just finished installing Windows 7 on my brand spankin' new computer. I have it connected via HDMI to a 1080p 32" Sony Bravio, and I have a problem.. whenever the computer wants to use audio it'll make a popping sound, then have that heavy static behind the sound like the speakers were coming out of sleep mode. After the sound stops broadcasting, you hear another pop and the room goes quiet. Also, whenever the audio starts the little "HDMI" thing pops us on the top right saying it's connected and the resolution like it has to reset the HDMI digital for the sound. How can I fix this??

I also noticed some red speckles on the top left screen. I looked it up and it sounds like cable failure but it's a 6" generic cable that came with my old Xbox 360 Elite. It works perfect with the my new Slim.. I'm confused.
