o just "picked up" this scientific atlanticc 3100 cable box..question is whats it supposed to do ?? and what can it do for me??

It's a cable box like it states, for cable TV. Won't do much for you unless your area supports it and you have service on it.

Oh so its not one of those digital converter boxes that the government was giving away for reff when they switched the "aireal broadcasts " to digital ??
