Suggestion for a new card

Hey guys!

I recently upgraded my monitor to a 1920x1080 from a 1366x768.

I just want to know what kind of card would fit my build perfectly with no bottlenecks.

I am running a:

core i5 760 2.8ghz(plan on OCing soon)
4gb of DDR3 1333mhz ram
asus p7p55 LX mobo
750watt antec power supply

  1. With an i5(when O.C.)and a 750watt psu you can put any card in it.

What is your budget and what types of games are you looking to play with it?
  2. Right now I would go with an hd6950 unlocked into a hd6970. It is the best deal right now. Also they perform well @ high res.

Well currently I have about a 300$ budget and just want a card that will play the 2011 game releases on max settings.

Then a hd6950 unlocked into a hd6970 will fit into that budget. Or even a GTX 570. You can get a galaxy GTX 570 for $315 on newegg after rebate and decreased prices.

  6. What resoultion is your monitor?

I would have to agree with HostileDonut, the 6950 is a great card and with 2G of memory it's even better at multi-monitor setups.Their is also the GTX560 that performs right around the same as the 6950.But if your looking to max out all the games in 2011 your going to need a Crossfire/SLI setup to even come close.I would suggest buying a 6950 now and then when you have enough money to buy another one.But what from i'm reading the 68xx series cards perform well enough that you can get x2 of them and be able to max out games.
  7. So what GPU are you getting?!?!?!?!?! :o :bounce:
