Hello everyone. I am curious what people with a better feel for the price and performance of the current crop of cards think.

I just built a 2500K system and have been waiting for a decent deal to upgrade my GPU. I currently have access to an MSI GTX 570 (N570GTX-M2D12D5) for $280 (dreaded $20 rebate attached) but I am unsure if it is worth going over budget for.

Should I grab this card before the sale is over today, wait for prices to adjust to the introduction of the 560 Ti or get a pair of older cards and run it in SLI?

As an extra question, should I look at extra case cooling when adding this card? Or only add extra cooling if I go SLI or when temperatures becomes a concern?

Thanks

-------------------

Approx Purchase Date: within the next month
Budget: $200 to $250 but will go up to $300 to get a card that will last longer. I'm in Canada so prices are higher and availability is lower.
Usage: higher end gaming and video rendering (hence a preference for nVidia's Cuda cards)
Current GPU: recycling my old BFG 8800 GT OC2
Power Supply: Corsair HX 750 (SLI certified)
CPU: Intel 2500K
Mobo: Asus P8P67 Pro
Memory: 8GB G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series DDR3 1333MHz 7-7-7-21-2N model
Case: iCAN A2012 mid-tower
Cooling: Stock CPU, 120mm front and back
Manufacturer Preference: Build quality, warranty, temperature, noise and performance are more important than name
Country: Canada
Overclocking: Probably not.
SLI: Maybe
Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080

Just go for the GTX570 if you have the money. Prices won't adjust a lot more than they have. Prices will go down over time, but they always will. I would recommend you just get the card so you can start enjoying it. If you wait for prices to go down, you will always be waiting.
