What next? The Gaming PC on the move...

I recently built my first PC (October 2010), it was designed to be a Gaming PC, however, I only had a $800 budget. For that I had to shorten out on things, mainly the Graphics card, the core of a Gaming PC. (All in AUD currency)

So, I was able to build this, going over the $800 budget slightly.

AMD Athlon II X4 635 2.9GHZ (Quad-core)
4GB 1333mhz DDR3 RAM
ATI Radeon HD 4650 512mb DDR2 (Yeah, crap)
Gigabyte 880G-UD3H (Basic yet decent motherboard, supported latest stuff besides things like USB 3.0)
500GB HDD 7200 RPM
24x DVD drive (can burn, cd, etc)
Netgear WN111v2 N-300 Wireless Adapter
500 Watt PSU Silverstone ST50F-ES

And then I forked out only $200 for a 24" full HD Acer monitor (1920x1080). (Dont ask how, great deal)

It had a basic wired keyboard + mouse combo for $10 and Gigabyte speakers which had no base and horrible audio quality.

I sort of hated it, wishing I had a bigger budget.

However, I decided to take action over time, and began upgrading my externals in preperation for a internal upgrade.

I bought the essentials:
Logitech LS21 2.1 Sound System, which actually sounds superb for music in games and out of game and general shooters as well
Microsoft Wireless Desktop 800, since I move my comp around and hate cabling
And a basic desktop mic.

I then went for a network upgrade to my aging network with an upgrade from cat 5 cables to cat 6 and the Netgear Rangemax WNDR3700 Router with Gigabit ethernet and a speed upgrade to up to 100 MB/s

And after that, I bought the most essential upgrade, a AMD Radeon HD 6850. This card has done really well for me.
Then I realised that this card was overheating the low budget case I had bought and that this case was terrible. So, I bought a new case, the CM Storm Scout and rebuilt my PC into this new case.

Now, I feel moderatly satisfied, play alot of games on high settings.

My question is, what next? What is the next step in upgrading? What should I consider?

For Ease, my current spec:
AMD Athlon II X4 635 2.9GHZ
4GB 1333mhz DDR3 RAM
AMD Radeon HD 6850 1GB GDDR5
Gigabyte 880G-UD3H
500GB HDD 7200 RPM
24x DVD drive
Gigabit Ethernet using Cat 6 cabling
CM Storm Scout
Netgear Rangemax WNDR3700 Router with Gigabit ethernet
Logitech LS21 2.1 Sound System
Microsoft Wireless Desktop 800
Acer 24" HD 1080p Monitor
500 Watt PSU Silverstone ST50F-ES

The only things that could maximize your performance are a newer CPU (Phenom II X4 955) and a 6900-series GPU, but AMD may be releasing their new Bulldozer chipset this summer and may be a better purchase.

Other than that, the only upgrade that you'd really notice is a solid state drive for your OS.

Yeah, I was considering a 40GB SSD just for the OS, and the CPU is quite outdated. Bulldozer uses a AM3+ socket, so I would have to upgrade my Motherboard. The GPU, well, it's not really urgent, as the 6850 is performing well.
