Phenom II X4 850 and ASUS M2A-VM Board

Hello,

does anybody know if the above will go together. The X4 850 is practically a faster version of the Athlon II X4 640, which has been approved by ASUS for the M2A-VM board.
Thanks in advance and, please, nobody bother about me getting a new mainboard.

  1. That is an AM2 board, you will need AM2+ or AM3. Sorry.

Yes, I know, but the Phenom X4 850 is similar to the Athlon x4 640, which has ASUS approval for this board.
The 850 runs on 3300 Mhz and the 640 on 3000 Mhz.
