I will be ordering this within the next week. I want to make sure all of my parts are compatible and that I didn't overlook anything. I have just a few requirements...

1. I must be able to rip bluray and dvd.
2. Must have at least 8gb ddr3.
3. Must be usb 3.0 compatible.
4. Must have at least an x6 series CPU.
5. Still need to pick out a WiFi receiver.
6. Full ATX board is not a must as I don't need to run a standalone gpu.

Is there a reason you want a hexacore? Even if you are encoding using all cores, Intel's Sandy Bridge quads still beat AMD's 6-core.

AMD 1090T vs. i5-2500: http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/146?vs=288&i=25....

Are you really dead-set on getting an AMD hexacore? If you swap out your motherboard for a cheap H61/H67 and an i5-2500 you would be at the same price as your proposed build.

Have you considered a Sandy Bridge i5 combined with a H67 board? They blow away everything AMD has to offer.

Im actually building for someone else and they are diehard amd fan. I completely agree with you that intel would be the way to go.

Anyway, does the combination look good? Anything I could do to save more dough?

OK, AMD it is then. I just don't understand fanboys.

Your list looks good for an AMD blu-ray cruncher. The only comment I can now offer is that that motherboard is an older 770 chipset board. That board does not have onboard video so you'll need a video card (not listed)... or you can swap to a more recent 880G/890GX chipset motherboard and get bundled video and new goodies such as USB 3.0 and SATA 6.0GB/s.

Right now newegg has a -$25 combo deal with the 1090T X6 and a Gigabyte 880G: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?Ite...

You can probably find more combos if you look for them to save some more $$$.

He wanted a 3TB hard drive, so I also changed that, along with the wifi card. I looked around for a while, and this is the best I could do. Could anyone else help me out with more promo codes and/or combos? Thanks.
