This is my first post here and if its not the rght section please excuse me...
I have a weird problem. Just bought a CPU(excluding monitor, hard disks) two days back. The problem is the computer wont boot up some times. Allthough all the fans and mobos led works fine. I dont here any boot sound. When the computer starts up it runs fine without any crashes until powered off. Checked it for more than 6 hrs. Checked all the connectns. Checked it with just the mobo, processor and ram too. Went to the shop. It ran all fine there and same problm aftr gettin home

Welcome to Tom's Hardware Forums!

I read your post. Check the 8-pin (or 4-pin) connector that supplies power to the CPU. Make sure that the connection is good and the connector 'snaps in' in the socket.

(I am assuming that the incoming power in your home is fine).

finally I figured out that this board supports 95 watts processor maximum. And my processr is rated at 125 watts. Can this be a problem??
If yes whats the solution??

Yes, it is a problem. The solution is to assemble compatible components. If you continue using the computer 'as-is' there is a high probability of motherboard failure.
