CPU Compatability question

Hello,

I'm building my first pc and ordered the parts yesterday, but now i'm a little worried about my cpu working with the motherboard i ordered.

On the compatability list on Asus Website for M4A89GTD PRO USB3 motherboard, the AMD Phenom II X4 965 model # is
HDZ965FBK4DGM 125W.

But the 965, 125W cpu I ordered has this model # HDZ965FBGMBOX.

I ordered these from Newegg. As you can see, the last 5 digits dont' match. Are they the same? Or will I have problems?

Newegg seems to have shortened the model number so they can add in BOX. Don't worry about it, it will work, guaranteed.

You'll be fine. Manufacturers don't always test all of the products that work with their motherboards (or whatever), but they list the ones they did test it with. As long as the motherboard and CPU are the same socket (both AM3, so yes), then it will work.
