Stick with Intel's sandy bridge and NVIDIA GPUs for any creative suite applications. What's your budget?

You could go with something like this:

Intel i7 2600k ($330)
Gigabyte UD3P ($160)
8 GBs of G.SKILL 1600 MHz, CAS 8 DDR3 ($120)
GTX 560 Ti ($230)
XFX 650 W ($59)
Samsung Spinpoint F3 1 TB ($65)
HAF 912 ($65)
Some DVD drive ($20)

TOTAL: $1049

Would be great for any CS5 application.

EDIT: Sorry, skimmed past the part about you having a 650 Watt PSU already. How old is it? What model is it?
