Problem: how to format an Acer Travelmate 210 TEV

Hi, i have a problem with the notebook of the subject: i haven't the
recovery disks and i need to format the pc: i have all the drivers and
a copy of Windows ME (the native o.s.) but i can't avoid the boot from
hard disk (i've tried to change the boot sequence in the bios or
choose the boot drive with a notebook's utility but the result is
always a hard drive boot)... how can i format and install again
Windows on this machine?
