Lenovo T510 resolution problems

I have been working for sometime off a Lenovo T61 supplied by work and have just been given a new T510 as a replacement.

The T510 is obviously a better computer and is fitted with a NVIDIA NVS 3100M graphic card but when you compare the two displays the T61 looks far better with a resolution of 1680 x 1050 compared to the T510's 1366 x 768.

It is possible to increase the resolution on the T510 but the scaling gets messed up and the screen expands out of the displays confines.

Would be great to get this problem resolved as I'm considering sticking with the T61 purely because its so much easier on the eyes!
Any help would be much appreciated!

Solution
If the native resolution of the T510's panel is 1366x768 (which sounds like is the case since going over makes the screen too big) there is nothing you can do. This is a LCD hardware limitation. Just double check that 1366 is indeed the spec, and if so you should try to stick with the T61 (as I certainly agree low res Laptop LCDs are a pain).
