Trouble with video memory

Hello,
I have a HP computer with Onboard Intel (R) G33/G31 Express Chipset Family video can I increase graphics memory because no more video slots on the mboard 1 white PCI and one skinny slot and a couple of

There is no way to increase the memory for the G33/G31 integrated video, beyond maxing out the system memory that your motherboard can use. Your video chipset uses shared memory with the main memory used by the system. Short of going into your BIOS and allocating (if your BIOS supports) a higher amount, you are out of luck.

Your best option to overcome this issue is to get a compatible, stand alone, video card and not use the integrated video at all.

What make/model of HP are you using?

I have HP E2220 2.4 duel proc it uses onboard display Intel(R) G33/G31 I think it says 256mb enabled ok anyway I got given a Nvidia GeForce 8400GS Gigabyte card but I think it is 512mb...should I use this or the onboard display...sorry it seems a dumb question but I'm hesitant to break up a set package
