I want to build a new pc for 600 dollars.

Would preffer the following:

Budget Range: $600

System Usage from Most to Least Important: mainly for gaming, surfing the internet and watching movies

Parts Not Required: Monitor, mouse, Keyboard

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Wootware.co.za , Rebeltech.co.za , Newegg.com

Country of Origin: Australia

Parts Preferences: I would like to use an Intel CPU & asus mobo and g.silk for ram

Overclocking: Maybe

SLI or Crossfire: Maybe

Additional Comments: Would like 4gb of ram, need a 600w power supply for a HD6950 gpu with 1x8 and 1x6 pci-e power connectors

What do you guys think and what brands and components do you recommended?

I'm glad to see Newegg spans the globe all the way Down Under.

I'm kind of confused. is $600 supposed to include a HD 6950 or do you already have one? because its not listed as "parts not required"

here is the disclaimer:

The PSU is solid for your "HD6950" and should handle a those is Crossfire (6950's aren't power hungry). I would up it to a 650W Corsair or Antec to be safe though.

there are better cheaper MB that are not ASUS and not may not be Crossfire/SLI. the MB was chosen to meet these two criteria not because I would recommend it. its just an OK MB. using a mATX MB will save $ also.

I used a good Case that comes with 4 fans and a fan controller. you can change it to a cheaper case to bring it into your $600 budget.
