Hello Tom's,

I've recently noticed that the amount of usable memory went down from 4GB to 3.5GB. I am using W7 64bit so that can't be the problem. I have checked the BIOS for memory remapping but that's disabled. I didn't change anything, it just suddenly changed the amount of usable memory.
Here are the specs of my computer:
I5 760 @ 4Ghz
2x Kingston HyperX 2GB 1600Mhz
Sapphire hd6950 flashed to 6970 BIOS
Asus P7P55D motherboard
Kingston SSDNow v100 64GB
2x WD black 500GB
Coolermaster SilentPro 500W psu

Thanks.

Can u reset the BIOS?
Reset the CMOS memory the right way as is described in the motherboard manual using the clear CMOS link with the power cord unplugged.

@ nikorrIn the BIOS it's showing as 4GB and in the remapping bios screen it clearly shows 4GB to 3.5GB remapping disabled.
I'll try to reset it like you said.

OK,

Go to msconfig>boot>advanced option> make sure maximum memory is unchecked

Resetting the BIOS fixed the problem. Got 4GB usable RAM again.
