Hello,
So just today after my computer restarted after having installed a standard windows update (I run Win7-64bit) I had this weird problem with my screen. It will only allow me to set the resolution to 1084x768 and I know that the resolution of my screen is 1280x800 (this is a laptop we are talking about). Thinking this was a windows problem, I tried restarting my laptop just to realize that even the boot process and BIOS is in the same resolution. I have also tried booting Ubuntu (10.10) and still the same problem... So I have a feeling that it is a "underlying condition" and not the win update... Anyone have any suggestions?
