You need to check the exact spec of the motherboard before proceeding. AGP uses 3.3v 1.5v or .8v signalling depending on version and although the slots and cards should be keyed to prevent damage not all were. If it is keyed and you get the wrong card it will not fit, if you get the wrong card and it's not keyed...Pop!

I'd say the best AGP card you can actually buy is the ATI Radeon HD 4650. Depending on what OS you're using, I think you should rather base your purchase on the drivers available lol. I recently was setting up a laptop with Win98, and the one part I could not find drivers for was the GPU. So I went ahead and installed Ubuntu 10.10.

Actually it is a AGP slot, and the motherboard I was planning on using is a MSI 694T PRO it has a 4x AGP slot I am not sure about the voltage requirements for the AGP slot but thanks in advance for all for your responses is any one familiar with that motherboard? Again any suggestions I would like to run all of the games a max graphic settings @ like 80+ fps

Should have AGP I think.

I would grab something like the 6600GT or higher or 7600GS or higher. Check out ebay for some deals.

7800GS for $99.99

6800 for $9.95

7950GT for $99.98

If it is pci, you will most likely be stuck with the 6200

The cpu he is going to be using would be a serious bottleneck to those cards you just listed. He's better off looking at a Geforce4 Ti card.
