Regarding two different brands of memory

Hey guys,

I recently won 8gb (2x4gb) of Kingston HyperX T1 ram, and was wondering if they could work in conjunction with my 8gb (2x4gb) Corsair XMS ram?

From the specs I've noticed they have the same speed, latency, and voltage. However, the timing is slightly different with T1 with 9-9-9-27 and ther XMS with 9-9-9-24. Will these ram work together, and also is it really even worth adding these additional memory?

They may work together but do you really need 16GB RAM?

I don't recommend mix-matching IC, so it's nothing that I would do.

Find and get another set, if needed, of Kingston HyperX T1 2x4GB. For any gaming (today) there's no need for 16GB of RAM.
