Someone told me to check the RAM, so after fidgeting with that the computer has stopped turning on completely.

What could the problem be?

I press the power button, all I hear is a *tink* sound coming from the back of the computer by the power supply, and nothing happens. Before the lights would come on and the CD/dvd drive would open, but now there is no lights, no fans, nothing.

you find out(like I did) that no one really ever replies haha. Maybe your PSU is faulty? Try removing your hard drive and cd drive and have just your CPU,one stick of ram and your GPU installed then start it up and see what happens.
