HI,

I have a dell studio xps 8100, i got it for a steal at the time that was priced less then the individual compontents would have been through newegg.

When I recieved it i replaced the PSU with a cosair 650 watt that i had laying around and a HD 5750, but now i want to update the card further to a HD 6950 2gb but worried about the length of the card at 11 inches.

I measured the case and it falls behind the HDD01 bay, i have no problem moving the HDD up to the above bay. But still worried that the card wont be able to be mounted in this case.

Thank you

I had a 5870 in my 8000/8100 case and it fit just fine. I actually wanted to keep the case because it looks so good but I wanted to try X-firing.

Quote:
how much longer is the HD6950 than a HD5770 which was one of available options at time of purchase for the unit.
meaning the HD5770 is certified to fit, all you need is the difference in measurements between the two..

The card is another 2 inches or so, with Z06psi confirming for me that he had a 5870 fit in his case, I will order that one as it was one i was lookign at as well.

Thanks for the help!
