No mouse, no keyboard, no operating system, I presume? In other words, the $300 budget just applies to those things that are listed? Last question: do you live near a Micro Center? They have the best prices on CPU's and that would eek oput a few extra dollars in this build.

Very nice but no optical drive? and I need the acrylic case (mandatory) that's +36 more! and dvd burner for ~25 so this goes up to about 400 after shipping and what not, 100 more than I want :(

Is this build any good?

I agree, why would anyone buy a 40$ cpu with a 100$ mobo? Not to mention the quality of the psu is down right scary! =[

The tri core will be a better option if you do decide to go the route. I was trying to squeeze one under the $300 budget, but with that case, it was proving to be difficult.
