My motherboard doesnt detect hard drive or cd drive

HI , I WAS TRYING TO INSTAL WINDOW VISTA , IN DURING SET UP I DELETED HARD DRIVE COMPLETLY.FOR SOME REASON CD DRIVE OPEN. AFTER THAT I AM NOT ABLE TO GO TO ENTERING TSET UP OR BIOS . WHEN I CLICK DELET IT GOES IN BLACK SCREEN WITH ALL DATELS EXCEPT NOT DETECTEING CD DRIVE OR SANTA HARDRIVE. IN BUTTOM OF PAGE TELL TO
ENTERNING SETUP.....
PRESS F12 IF YOU WANT TO BOOT FROM THE NETWORK.

ANY KEY YOU PRESS NOTHING WOULD HAPPEN.

Shut off computer, disconnect CD and Hard Drive. Turn on, go into BIOS, set boot order giving CD top priority, followed by HDD. If there is option to Load BIOS defaults hit yet and restart but shutdown before it can come back up and turn off. Re-connect CD and HDD in different ports (assuming SATA) and restart with Vista CD loaded in tray, should see screen "booting from optical drive"
