I am getting ready to do some upgrades and had a question. Here is the situation I would like to build a crossfire system and plan on getting a set of 5850 ATI cards. My problem is one of the games I play is now using, and plans to in the future to use more NVIDIA Physx. It is an MMORPG that is continually developed and upgraded.
I will be removing a set of 8800 GTS cards and am wondering if I could use one in a 3rd PciE 8X slot (it is a 16x slot that runs at 8 if the first 2 slots are running 16X so the card will physically fit) as a dedicated Physx processor. Would the drivers conflict? Does anyone have experience doing this?
Any feedback would be very appreciated.
