Hey
my last GPU was a Nvidia Geforce 9400M in my laptop and i liked it, i wanted to know what is the next range up from that i don't know the steps and also i know nothing about the ATI range and what is the equivalent to the 9400M, thanks

oh yeah this is not for a laptop so don't worry, i want to upgrade from integrated graphics on my desktop

Ok well here is a page with a list of Mobile solutions for laptops http://www.notebookcheck.net/Intel-Extreme-Graphics-2.2179.0.html
Generally how it works is that the desktop version is a bit better/faster than the Mobile version.
for what you are looking at you would be looking at Desktop cards like these. HD 3650, Radeon HD 2600XT, Radeon X1650PRO and GeForce 8600 GT.

Those are all older cards so to bring it up to date you would be wanting something like a HD5450.

Anything that performs above that card would b ea improvement.

let us know what teh specs are for your desktop and we can offer some sugestions.

Mactronix :)

- Asus P5G41C-M LX (800/1066/1333Mhz)
- Intel Pentium DualCore E6500 2.93 GHz (1066Mhz)
- Kingston DDR3 2GB x2 kit (1333Mhz)
- Corsair CMPSU-600GS 600W

whats the price range on these cards, as you can see it's low end gaming so nothing that would be more than i need, BC2 is about my most PC intensive game

well i'm on a 17 inch 3:2 standard, but i'm gonna get a 19 or 21 inch 16:9 so whatever around them, my budget is flexible, throw some prices at me like from "get the job done" to really nice clean picture and performance i don't know what i'm looking for in term of graphics and whats good prices. thanks, and like i said at the start, anything better than that i'll be happy with,
