The display doesn't take up the whole screen :(

Hi, I have a problem my monitor has a big black border around the display, in other words, the highest setting for my graphics card doesn't take up the whole screen.

My graphics card is the ATI Radeon HD 5870
My monitor is the Samsung SyncMaster XL 2370
