Z77 Platform and Backwards with z68 chip socket

I am wondering about the impact of the Z77 Chip platform for the 1155 Z68 Socket and the price reduction as the New Ivy specs set into play?

Only the hardware manufaturers know now, and they probably aren't set. I'm guessing when IVB comes out, mobos and chips will be expensive as hell just like they always are til a wide variety of board support starts popping up and people test just how good IVB is. If it's not all that's expected, they too can drop in price.

Us Joe Consumers will only know when it's finally released.
