Okay, so today I ordered an XFX 6950 that I'm gong to unlock. I now have an MSI GTX 460. I want to know how to use the 6950, but keep my PhysX. I do have a SLI/CF motherboard (MSI P67A-GD55). How do set it up so I mainly use the 6950 for games, and have the 460 for special effects like PhysX?

First you need the community patch for the Nvidia drivers so that you can have both cards installed load their drivers during bootup. Works the same in Vista/win7. Without that patch you will get no ware. Then you need to make sure that the ATI drivers are not going to screw with any thing on it's own right through general issues with or without the nvidia card. Once you got that far the next step is rather easy and the same on systems got use only nvidia. You will need to load the control panel (same concept in ati drivers) to set physx on the gtx 460. The default will be the cpu however just set the gtx 460 as the physx card. There are videos and many guides how to do this step by step.

Also you might consider selling the 460 and buying something cheaper, as PhysX isn't demanding enough for a 460 to be needed.

And the patch you need is called GenL v1.04ff
