Thinking about just adding another 4850, newegg has the following in 1gb flavors only(mine is 512 mb)

also i think my mb would do crossfire at 16x/8x and the 2 older cards wont support dx11

Unless a single gpu in that price range is better.

6870 is a great choice if you do plan to move up to 1920x1080, but at 1440x900 crossfire 4850s is nothing to sneeze at and would save you some cash. All depends if you want to play DX11 games any time soon and whether or not you think you will eventually end up with a 1080p or above monitor.
