Hello,
i plugged in a camera to my 8600gt pci-e 1024mb ddr2 and i got a spike and the moniter went tartan stripes effect down the screen also made the mistake of plugging it into the s video output. is there a somthing i could change to repait it as the company told me theres nothing they can do for me.

You would be best off replacing the card. You can get a new card for $50 or less that will be notable more powerful than an 8600GT DDR2.

In case you ever happen to find some place that repairs stuff like that, make VERY sure you check the total price it would cost and then compare that to a price of buying a new card. I made that mistake when the cable cord connection on my HDTV stopped working. I paid almost enough to buy myself a brand new HDTV to get it fixed. (original HDTV was $600 and the repair price was $350)
I could have bought a new tv and kept my old one for the PS3, but I was dumb and paid to get the old one repaired.
