I'm wondering if anyone knows if this heatsink:

is compatible with an fm1 board, or how to tell? The description on newegg says it is, but the box doesn't mention fm1 anywhere? Any help?

Yes, it is FM1 compatible. FM1 fits the same heatsinks as AM2/AM2+/AM3 etc
