Windows 7 Install Problem

Like the postings I have read "I am building my first system and" I am having trouble starting up and loading windows 7 64bit. I can get past the bios but when I put in my cd it begins installing the os but when it says it is going to restart it never does. Is it an issue with my dram, video card or something else.

Parts assembled for this:
3x CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Model CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9B
ASUS P6X58D-E LGA 1366 Intel X58 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
CORSAIR Enthusiast Series CMPSU-850TX 850W
Microsoft Windows 7 Professional 64-bit
i7-950 Bloomfield 3.06GHz 4 x 256KB L2 Cache 8MB L3 Cache LGA 1366 130W QuadProcessor BX80601950
Western Digital VelociRaptor WD6000HLHX 600GB 10000 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5"
COOLER MASTER Storm Scout SGC-2000-KKN1-GP Black Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower

Could it be an incompatible graphics card? The one I am using is from an old dell tower.

Any ideas?

What happens when you try to boot/install with just one set of 2x4GB DDR3 RAM installed?

I finally figured it out. When I connected a few external hard drives I later went into the bios and by mistake changed the boot drive. After unplugging the hub of external hard drives it worked fine. Thanks for trying to help me though. e
