My ASrock extreme 3 gen 3 can not do instant flash

just bought a e3g3 yesterday, i am trying to update the bois. i am using instand flash, however, everytime if i try to use instant flash in uefi, it either give me some unknown character, or just dead, need restart.

finally i update it inside the system. but uefi instand flash problem still exist.

i just wonder is this normal or not? do i need return it for an exchange?

btw, i figure out the two unknown characters, just two square bracket, like '[][]', totally no words in the window.
