Problem fitting a 2 bay card in pcix16 slot

Hello, I have an older hp that has only one x16 slot and I'm trying to install a gts450. Problem is it's a 2 bay card and the x16 slot is at the top so the fan port doesn't have anywhere to go. It will fit fine in the x4 slot, the fan/heat sink then covers the x16 slot, which is fine but obviously I can't use that slot. Anybody know of an adaptor or some kind of fix?

I'm not sure exactly what you mean. "the fan port doesn't have anywhere to go"? Can you take a picture of the problem?

Your IO panel is in the middle of the case with the expansion slots at the top isnt it?

The 16x slot would force you to use one more slot than your case has or would it make the fan sit a half inch from the top edge of the case?
