I just built my second system ever with this hardware
Coolmaster 690 II advanced case
i5-760 cpu
EVGA SLI mobo(not FTW)
G.skill Sniper 8GB (4GB x 2) 1600MHz
Corsair HX650 PSU
2 x Seagate HDD 500GB each
XFX HD 5670 Video card
Got it together and it wont fire up. Only fans come on when pressing the power button on the mobo and then only for a very short time before fans go off. LED lights ights on the mobo stay on until i turn off the PSU switch. Mobo has a debug led but that doesnt light up.
I've tried unplugging the video card to see if that was the problem; no change. I then unplugged every modular cable from the psu and still no change.
When i installed the CPU i thought i may have bent a pin on the mobo but not sure as its very small. Would this maybe cause this kind of problem?
How do i go about deciding if its the mobo, cpu or psu? I only have these ones on hand. Thanks.
