Hi,

Any recs for a higher end case that will fit into my cabinet that is 19.25" high? (cabinet is 16" wide/24" deep)

Build includes:

$159.99 MoBo / $159.99
ASUS P8P68 (REV 3.1) ATX
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6813131770

$164.99 GPU / $164.99
SAPPHIRE 100315L Radeon HD 6850 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6814102908

I believe the Sapphire is 10.5" long but their website doesn't have dimensions.

Ideally the case would have:
1.) H < 19.25"
2.) great cable mgmt/component mgmt/Cooling/feature packed
3.) USB 3.0/USB 2.0 front panel ports located middle to upper part of front plate, but not on top.
4.) USB 3.0 mobo header cable (to front of case).
5.) Function over form..it will be in a cabinet so doesn't have to look cool. Black wld be nice.

Money is not the constraint on this part of the build.

Any recs would be most appreciated or if you know of a website that aggregates external case dimmensions and sorts by component size.

Thanks!

Yes, I know the feeling!

And I do not recommend that you remove the feet from the bottom of the case, because these feet provide the slight clearance that is necessary for air intake to the bottom mounted PSU. Top mounting will negate this issue (orientation may change).

Funny you should mention that. I was wondering about taking the feet off but was concerned about cooling as well. Also didn't know if the dimensions given included the feet or not. I am hoping that dimensions for a given case factor in the feet.

A couple of Lian Li cases might work but am still searching for the best solution.

Thx again!

Very good to know. I have an addl inch of height in the cabinet once the box clears the opening, so if i find a case with the features i want i can remove the feet, slide it in, then raise it and place some rubber bumpers under each corner. that would open my universe up to cases that are 19.5" in height.

Thanks again..very helpful.
