I just brought two 6850 (toxic) and i had this thought in my mind that i would oc and get 6870 crossfire performance (stock) from them.So just wanted to know how much oc will be required for my cards? Also is running these cards at 1.3 volts is safe or not?

You can actually OC to the performance pretty well, just not as many shaders, but other thins will make up for that. I would say get a 1Ghz core, and 1100Mhz on memory and you would be good to go. As for the voltage, every card is different. When you up the voltage it takes away the card's life too. I would do up to 1.25 and take a bet on how long it will last.

Well that's not entirely true.you can oc GPU nowadays to get significantly better performance.I had an ati 5850 at 950/1250 mhz and it beat the 5870 at stock (my friend's) in every benchmark. You can also visit legit review for 5850 oc performance

Well i have presently oced them to 1000/1175 at 1.299 volts.Than ran crysis warhead benchmark/3dmark11/some other games without any problem. Also i would like know how much years will the cards last at these volts cause i will probably upgrade 1-2 years from know and these have three years warranty.
