Bottleneck? Radeon 6950

AMD Athlon II X4 640 + Sapphire 6950

on motherboard:
Asus M4A78LT-M LE
Will use max 8gig DDR3 ram
will this bottleneck much?
or should I step it down to a 6850

Depends on the software and your resolution, but in general I would say if you plan to stick with that CPU long term then get the 6850, but if you upgrade pretty often then get the 6950 2gb that can be flashed to a 6970 before they are gone.

I would say all those cards are priced appropriately for there performance levels (although the unlockability of the 6950 2gb makes it a better value) so it all depends on how much you want to spend.
