Swapping HDDs

I have two Dell desk tops.

One of the HDDs died and I want to swap a HDD from an older PC to this one.
They both run XP on the HDDs.
What will i need to do after I swap the good HDD into the one with the dead HDD?

I cant think of any driver that will need to be installed except for the DVD driver...
Will the system run correctly?

If the motherboards are the same you should not have a problem, but if the chipsets are different the system may not boot.

I am going to pass on this.

The HDDS have different plugs.
One has the old ribbon and the other has SATA cables.

One has DDR and the other has DDR2.
